Hard Yakka became the dominant workwear brand in Australia and the company expands owing to the growing demand. A new manufacturing plant was started in Brunswick.

1960s-80s: Further growth with increased demand for the products. A new manufacturing plant was created in Broadmeadows and it became the new headquarter of the company.

Railway commercial was launched, which made Hard Yakka an Aussie icon. The Hard Yakka chant became an instant hit.

The company expanded to New Zealand and Tasman and the new commercial, ‘Haulpac’, became an instant hit, furthering the success of the company.

1990s to present: Hard Yakka safety and non-safety footwear were introduced. The unforgettable ‘Shearing’ commercial was also launched during this decade, which further enhanced their customer base.

Continued journey towards innovative footwear and workwear. New lines were introduced, and the brand became one of the top recognised brands in the country.
